Welcome to the QAA Parents Association
Dear QAA Parents,

We, the QAA Parents Association, warmly welcome you to the 2009-2010 school year. We extend a special greeting to the new families joining our QAA community and look forward to meeting you. To the returning families, we are delighted to welcome you back!

This year is a special one for the QAA community as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of our school. We invite you to participate in the many events throughout the year that will celebrate our rich history. To begin this school year, please join us at our Annual Welcome BBQ on Monday, September 14th from 3:00 – 7:30 pm, where we will kick-off our 50th anniversary celebrations. This is also a wonderful opportunity to meet your daughter’s friends, other QAA parents and the school staff in a most relaxed and cordial setting.

The multi-cultural buffet was a sight to behold and the performances were truly spectacular. A very special thank you to all who cooked, baked, performed, organized, volunteered and participated. Annual General Meeting

The Parents Association will be holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 7:30 pm. Our special guest will be Mr. Dominic Varvaro, QAA Board President.

We are actively seeking interested parents or guardians to join our Executive Committee. This year, there will be eight open positions for parent representatives. Nominations will be taken from the floor at the AGM. This is a great way to become involved in your daughter’s school. No experience is necessary … just a willingness to help!

Thank you to all the teachers, staff, students and parents who helped to make our 50th BBQ such a success. Whether it was by volunteering your time, baking desserts, supervising activities, buying raffle tickets or participating in our BBQ festivities, we extend our sincere thanks to you.
